Lightly strives to fall in step with this slow-motion season, honouring its distinct offerings. If winter could talk it might say – "go softly, stay home, listen to your body." Home is where we will spend a large part of these months and while yes we rest, we may opt at times to do this in accompaniment.
Our interior spaces become an intimate setting, constantly in flux, made and unmade in sync with this season’s selves' wants and needs. For you and yours. While the outside world uninvites us, distinct winter comforts can be found; friends around candlelight, wax dripping while wine rings tattoo the table. The warmth of this room, no bath can replicate. Resist the chill and fill up your cup in company or solitude.
Consider our fellow mammals, the bears, the function of hibernation is a conservation of energy. Winter is a season of recovery, a time for restoration and nourishment. Resting with the knowledge that just as winter swept in, spring will soon breeze back the same way.
