The secret gardens of Marrakesh are an oasis of peace and quiet within high walls, where plants and trees from five continents grow together as an earthly reflection of paradise.
Lightly director and designer Cindy-Lee Davies spent time designing the latest collection, Le Jardin, in the riads and sunken daybeds of Marrakesh and in the rust red surrounds of the Atlas Mountains.
“This collection is about enriching the lives of those who come into contact with the brand through colour and comfort and designing easy living products to create your own personal sanctuary,” Davies says of Le Jardin.

As summer approaches the new living pieces from Lightly’s latest collection, Le Jardin, invite you to embrace the joys of easy living, impromptu entertaining and the peaceful sanctuary of the home.
The driving inspiration for the deep rust and valorous turmeric palette was director and designer Cindy-Lee Davies’ stay in a perfect modernist hotel in Paris, listening to afternoon jazz, whilst lounging on deep red Milo Baughman sofas.
The new tactile and textural living designs are designed to enrich the lives of those who come into contact with the pieces through colour and comfort.
The colour palette has been gathered from distant corners of the world, from our recent safaris and deserts travels of Africa yet grounded by a constant reference to home, the Australian natural landscape.
Deep reds, dusty greens and earthy tones of the secret gardens of Marrakesh and the Atlas Mountains breathe new life into the popular Palm Springs planter, available now in Turmeric, Merlot and Green.
First released as part of the brand’s 2016 collection Cinnamon, the planters reflect the parallels between the functional mid-century modern shapes of Palm Springs, California and Lightly’s view of timeless design and utilitarian beauty. Le Jardin expands on the well-loved Palm Springs collection with a new large and extra large format planter. “Ideal for indoor our outdoor use.”
Our collections have always been derived from travel – from the time spent resting and recharging – and importantly refuelling the sense of wonder and exploration that drives Lightly forward.
Colour is a key element of the sanctuaries we create for ourselves. Colour has the power to transport us, comfort us and to invigorate us – and the colours in our latest collection Le Jardin are no different.
