The Eye is Lightly’s modern love letter to material folklore. Material folklore marks an elevation of one’s treasured objects, transforming things you see and hold into pieces of personal iconography. 

For Lightly founder Cindy Lee, drawing faces is a “love language”. A new meaning was understood in watching her son do the same: a kinship outlined among his first marks on paper of how he sees the world of human form. Until he was four or five years old, all his faces had only one beautiful eye, the Ajna eye, that allows us to see and understand the inner and outer worlds.

This illustrates a new direction for Lightly in limited edition sculptures; the Eye is hand-cast in aluminium and available in a very limited edition. Use it to view or hold garden gatherings; a sculpture for decoration.

The Eye, like other life forces of its shape: sun, moon has an essential, unbroken connection to its form.
